Islands

Along the Scottish west coast and north coast lies a series of whisky-producing islands, which together form a whisky region: the Islands. There are a number of renowned brands from these areas: Talisker, Highland Park, Isle of Jura, The Arran, etc. The special natural conditions and the maritime climate greatly influence the flavour notes of the whisky from the Island distilleries. However, a uniform description of these single malt whisky brands from the islands cannot be given, as many other factors also play a role.
