Which region does Glenfarclas whisky come from?

Glenfarclas is located in the Speyside regionin northeastern Scotland, where many other well-known distilleries such as Macallan, Glenfiddich, Glenrothes, Glenlivet, and others can also be found. Glenfarclas, by the way, means 'the valley of the green grass.'

Is Glenfarclas a peated whisky?

No. Glenfarclas is a single malt Scotch whisky known for its sweet, fruity flavor notes from maturation in ex-sherry casks. It is a typical Speyside whisky – mild, easily accessible, and without peat smoke.

All Glenfarclas whiskies are produced entirely without the addition of artificial coloring. Their amber-golden color comes from maturation in ex-sherry casks.

How old is Glenfarclas whisky?

Glenfarclas produces whiskies ranging from 10 to 40 years old. It is the youngest whisky in the blend that determines the age on the bottle. Glenfarclas has also been good at saving and therefore has casks from the past 7 decades. The oldest Glenfarclas in Rombo's assortment at the time of writing is the Glenfarclas 50 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which is full of fruity sherry and powerful oak notes.
