Velier Distillerie de Port Au Prince White Rum is made exclusively from the cristalline sugarcane variety. It is double-distilled in a pot still, first in Saint Michel de l’Attalaye where the sugarcane is grown, and then a second time at Distillerie du Port au Prince in Haiti's capital.
This is yet another rum in Velier's prestigious collection, which only features unique editions, both white and aged rums, strictly from pot stills. Each label includes: An illustration of the alembic used; the year of distillation; the ester content of each bottling; a highlight of tropical aging and the slightly ironic designation 'sugar free' to indicate that no sugar has been added. The label communicates Velier's key concepts to the passionate consumer.
Velier Distillerie de Port Au Prince White Rum has an aroma that reveals intense notes of guava, combined with subtle hints of honey and freshly cut grass, creating an inviting and complex bouquet. With the first sip, the rum's flavor profile unfolds with vibrant nuances. The complex blend of tropical fruit, especially the distinct taste of pineapple, awakens the senses and elegantly combines with hints of white pepper and coconut. It has an ester level of 289 gr/hlAA.

Velier SpA is based in Genoa, where the passionate Luca Gargano, with his many years of experience, imports rum as an independent bottler. LM&V is a series of rums that have no added sugar. They are often "Heavy Rums" and are frequently bottled at cask strength. Rums from LM&V have often generated great hype among collectors and rum enthusiasts.
