Denne unikke Velier Chamarel 2017 Mauritius Pure Single Rum blev lanceret på Whisky Live Paris i 2026. Rhumerie de Chamarel har siden 2008 destilleret deres egen rom med anvendelse af blå, gule og røde sukkerrørstyper fra den 200 hektar store "estate" på det sydvestlige Mauritius.

Velier Chamarel 2017 rommen er lavet på den friskpressede sukkerrørsjuice, der er blevet fermenteret i to dage, pot still destilleret og tropisk lagret i 8 år i cognacfade, hvilket har ført til 45% angels' share. Der er ikke tilsat sukker til denne rom, og den er tappet ved 63% fadstyrke.

Profilen byder på florale, krydrede og medicinske noter samt tropiske frugter, sukkerrør, honning og friske urter.

LM&V stands for La Maison & Velier and is a joint venture between Italian Velier and La Maison du Whisky from France. Velier SpA is based in Genoa, where the passionate Luca Gargano, with his many years of experience, imports rum as an independent bottler. LM&V is a series of rums that have no added sugar. They are often "Heavy Rums" and are frequently bottled at cask strength. Rums from LM&V have often generated great hype among collectors and rum enthusiasts.
