Laphroaig Oak Select Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Laphroaig Oak Select is a fitting and perfect introduction to peated whisky, as it draws on a wide selection of casks from Laphroaig's warehouse. The whisky is sweet and smooth and tells of the distillery's 200-year history of passionate distillation in every sip.

To create Laphroaig Oak Select, Laphroaig's Master Distiller selected whiskies that have matured in Oloroso sherry casks, ex-bourbon quarter casks, and Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads – all with different levels of maturation. After blending, the whisky underwent a final maturation in American virgin oak casks – a rare cask for Scotch whisky.

Laphroaig Oak Select is the distillery's most relaxed expression, allowing its signature aromas of peat smoke and seaweed to shine through, leaving plenty of room for notes of red fruits, lime, and a floral aftertaste.

Laphroaig Oak Select has a beautiful, shining golden color with layered nuances. The aroma is met with a powerful scent of peat smoke, immediately accompanied by notes of ripe red fruits, creating a harmonious contrast. The first taste is sweet, but this sweetness quickly gives way to the characteristic taste of peat smoke, supplemented by subtle hints of ash and seaweed, contributing to a complex flavor profile. The whisky has a long-lasting finish, leaving floral notes, as well as delicate nuances of marzipan and fresh lime.

The special Laphroaig Oak Select won gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in both 2020 and 2022.
