Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Whisky Batch 17
Laphroaig Distillery was established in 1815 on the south coast of Islay, and to this day, the old methods of cold smoking and hand malting (floor malting) are still used.
This Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is from Batch 17 and bottled in November 2023. The whisky has been aged in bourbon casks for a minimum of 10 years and bottled at a cask strength of 58.3%.
The whisky is robust, spicy, and smoky, as a Laphroaig should be, and at cask strength, it's just a little more of everything. When you smell and taste Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength, you'll detect notes of peat smoke, sea salt, toasted oak, vanilla, nuts, leather, tobacco, and honey.
A few drops of water can optionally be added to give the aroma and taste a softer character.
