Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Whisky Peated is part of Glasgow Distillery's 1770 series, representing a resurgence of Glasgow's whisky scene. When the distillery opened in 2014, it was the first new whisky distillery in the city in over 100 years. Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Whisky Peated gets its smoky notes from the aromatic heather peat of the Scottish Highlands. The whisky is made from local barley malt and the pure water of Loch Katrine. It has been distilled in specially designed, traditional copper stills and matured in new oak casks, as well as receiving a finish in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Whisky Peated has aromatic notes of sweet smoke with dried fruits, black pepper, and flamed orange. It offers tasting notes of peat smoke, sage, dark caramel, and cocoa nibs, with an aftertaste of salted caramel, licorice, and spice. Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Whisky Peated is not chill-filtered and has no added artificial coloring. 46% - 70 cl.
