Campbeltown Loch Blended Malt Whisky

At Springbank, they are not only known for their Single Malts; they also have Blended Malts like their award-winning Campbeltown Loch.

All five malt whiskies from Campbeltown, Scotland's smallest whisky region, have been used to produce Campbeltown Loch Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. There are only three distilleries - Glen Scotia, Glengyle, and Springbank. However, the latter produces three different styles: unpeated (Hazelburn), lightly peated (Springbank), and heavily peated (Longrow). This blended malt is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, bottled and packaged at Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown.

The nose of this whisky offers a distinct buttery character and a characteristic hint of sea salt, accompanied by notes of gingerbread and pecan pie. On the palate, one experiences a rich combination of creamy coffee, salted caramel, date syrup, and crystallized brown sugar, with a subtle touch of peat smoke emerging simultaneously. The finish reveals that the peat smoke intensifies, while a leathery nuance develops over time. This creates a complex and well-balanced whisky experience with a richness of flavors and an appealing layering in the nose, palate, and finish. 46% - 70 cl.
