Ardbeg Uigeadail Single Malt Whisky

Ardbeg Uigeadail whisky also scored 97.5/100 points in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2012 - no whisky in the world scores higher than this. Ardbeg Uigeadail is not chill-filtered and has retained its full power and strength, providing optimal flavour and more body and depth.

Nose: Rich and heavy with smoky aromatics, intensely spiced and perfectly integrated. At full strength, the initial aroma is an enchanting blend of warm Christmas cake, walnut oil, and Parma violets, merged with fresh sea spices, cedar wood, and pine needles. Smouldering, smoky embers and the deep scent of well-oiled leather bring warmth to the scene. Sweetness of treacle toffee and chocolate-covered raisins brings indulgence through the smoke. Taste: Spicy and full-bodied with a deep structure, creating an exciting balance between sweetness, spice, and smoke. The taste is initially sweet like Christmas cake, which permeates the tongue. A barrage of winter spices sets off in a smoky, spicy explosion, countered by an opulent sensation of honey-glazed, smoked food and chewy treacle on the palate. Waves of deep, smoky notes and rich aromas build on the palate like a fine Montecristo cigar. Finish: Incredibly long and chewy with lingering raisin, deep mocha tones, and rich aromatic smoke in a perfectly integrated finish. 54.2% - 70 cl.
