Ardbeg Ten Years Old is not chill-filtered and has not had its strength reduced to 40%. Instead, it has retained its full flavour and strength of 46%, which preserves optimal taste and provides more body and depth. Aroma: A shower of intense, smoky fruits escapes into the atmosphere, peat infused with lemon and lime, wrapped in waxy dark chocolate. Rich menthol and black pepper through sweet smoke followed by tarry rope and graphite. As you delve deeper, you enjoy the scent of smoked fish and crisp bacon alongside green bell pepper, baked pineapple, and pear juice. Taste: An explosion of crackling peat on the tongue with tangy lemon, lime juice, and black pepper with sizzling cinnamon-spiced caramel. This is followed by a wave of brine with smooth buttermilk, ripe bananas, and red currants. Smoke on the palate brings a mouthful of warm creamy cappuccino and toasted marshmallows. The flavour lengthens and deepens with dry espresso, liquorice root, smoke, and peat oil. Finish: Lingers on and on - long and smoky with espresso, anise, toasted almonds, and traces of soft barley and fresh pear. 46% – 70 cl.
