Ardbeg An Oa is a new addition to the distillery's portfolio, which now includes four different bottlings. Ardbeg An Oa has been matured in the newly created, custom-built oak Gathering Vat, where whiskies from several different types of casks are blended - including sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, spicy charred virgin oak casks, and intense ex-bourbon casks. The result is a dram with smoky power, blended with a soft sweetness, Islay peat, dark chocolate, anise, toffee, black pepper, and cloves. Best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to fully open up the flavor nuances. 46.6% 70cl.
