Lagavulin

Lagavulin is owned by the giant Diageo, who now controls a dominant share of Scottish whisky production. The distillery is located on the island of Islay, known for its many heavily peated whisky brands. Lagavulin is no exception, and Lagavulin 16-year-old single malt scotch whisky features strong smoky notes. In contrast, the Lagavulin Distiller Edition versions have sweeter notes, as they are aged in used sherry casks, among other things.
