Guatemalan Rum and Sugarcane Spirits

Guatemalan rum and sugarcane spirits have gained considerable recognition in recent years, and there are some quite substantial rums from Guatemala with brands such as Ron Zacapa, Ron Malteco, and Ron Botran, which we are discussing here. Ron Zacapa, in particular, is world-famous for its Solera 23 and XO versions, both of which have been named the world's best rum. Guatemala is located in Central America, bordering Mexico to the northwest and Honduras to the southeast. Approximately 12 million people live in Guatemala, and besides Guatemalan rum, the country is especially known for its Mayan culture.
