Yamazaki 12 Year Old Single Malt Japanese Whisky comes from the Yamazaki Distillery, which was founded in 1923. This makes Yamazaki both the oldest distillery in Japan and among the most sought-after. Yamazaki 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky was introduced in 1984 as the first recognized Japanese whisky, and it is matured in American, Spanish, and Japanese Mizunara oak.
The aroma includes notes of peach, pineapple, grapefruit, nutmeg, orange, vanilla, and Mizunara. The taste offers notes of coconut, cranberry, and butter. Good sweetness and hints of ginger and cinnamon in the aftertaste.
The prestigious Yamazaki 12 Year Old Single Malt Japanese Whisky has won a wealth of awards, most recently the Supreme Champion Spirit medal at the International Spirits Competition, 2024.
