Ben Glaetzer 2022 Wallace Shiraz Grenache
Wallace by Ben Glaetzer is an Australian red wine made from 72% Shiraz and 28% Grenache grapes from the renowned Ebenezer district in Barossa Valley. The grapes are harvested from extraordinarily old vines (up to 120 years old), and only from the very best vines, following the principle of quality over quantity. The wines are carefully vinified, thus retaining much of their fruitiness without becoming sweet. The Shiraz portion of the wine is aged for 16 months, primarily in French oak barrels, while the Grenache portion has not been aged in barrels, so it retains its light, fruity style. Wallace by Ben Glaetzer is a juicy red wine with great body that pairs well with lamb, beef, powerful poultry and game, but can also be enjoyed on its own.
