The Real McCoy "Tasting Collection" er en glimrende mulighed for at smage 4 forskellige og naturlige rom fra Barbados (Foursquare Rum Distillery) uden tilsat sødme. Derudover fungerer smagesættet også som en fantastisk idé til en adventskalender på rom i juletiden.

Big McCoy var navnet på den vel nok mest kendte "romsmugler" under forbudstiden i 1920-1933 i USA, hvor alkohol var forbudt. Samtidig var han dog også kendt for at indsmugle rom af god og ærlig kvalitet i stedet for at blande spiritussen med kunstig og ofte også farlig tilsætning, og derfor blev hans produkter også kvalitetsstemplet som "The Real McCoy".

I smagesættet / adventskalenderen kan man smage følgende fire The Real McCoy rom: 3 år 40%, 5 år 40%, 12 år 40% og 12 års Limited Edition 50%.

The Real McCoy Rum is named after the legend Bill McCoy, who was a "rum runner" during Prohibition in the USA. From 1920-1933, there was a general alcohol ban in the USA, so Bill McCoy sailed barrels of rum from the Caribbean to anchor a few kilometers off the American east coast in international waters to legally sell rum to Americans who sailed out to his ship.
