All are collected by The Botanist's 2 botanists from the Scottish distillery Bruichladdich Distillery, which is perhaps better known for its whisky. The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is a pure tribute to the local flora found in the Scottish Hebridean area: everything from mint (quotidian) to the more unusual botanicals used in gin, such as the hardy weed "yellow bedstraw". Bruichladdich Distillery
The Bruichladdich distillery, located on the island of Islay, was founded in 1881, and after closing down in 1995, the distillery has reopened. With Master Distiller Jim McEwan at the helm, they have experimented with a variety of peated and non-peated whisky variants. Bruichladdich The Laddie Ten and Rocks are examples of un-peated whisky, while Port Charlotte An Turas Mor and The Peat Project are examples of peated single malt whisky from Bruichladdich.
