The Applicant 2022 Pinot Noir
The Applicant 2021 Pinot Noir Casablanca Valley is a Chilean red wine crafted by Vina Frey Leon's head winemaker, Jorge Martinez, who is behind the Applicant wines.
The wine is made from grapes sourced from the Casablanca Valley, where the climate is characterized by cool winds and fog from the Pacific Ocean. The soil is clay and sandy, and together, the climate and soil provide grapes with intense aroma, freshness, and coolness. After harvest, the grape must undergoes cold maceration for 3 days at 8 degrees, followed by fermentation for 8 days at 23 degrees. Subsequently, 75% of the wine is aged in steel tanks, while 25% is aged in oak barrels for 3 months. Afterwards, the wine is bottled.
The Applicant 2021 Pinot Noir Casablanca Valley is a soft yet intense Pinot Noir with classic aromas of berries, herbs, forest floor, dark chocolate, and coffee beans.
