South Star 8-Year Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
South Star 8-year-old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a blend of 10 selected Hogshead casks, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2021 in a limited edition of 2148 bottles. Islay whisky is known for its peat smoke, and this 8-year-old whisky, originating from an undisclosed distillery, largely represents Islay's traditional whisky profile. It boasts an elegant and rich aroma of peat smoke and intense flavour notes of peat smoke, vanilla, and salt, culminating in an aftertaste of peat, iodine, and just enough oak to round it off.
South Star 8-year-old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is released by the independent whisky bottler South Star Spirits, who, in addition to this selected Islay whisky, has also released small batch whiskies from the Speyside and Highland regions. The people behind South Star Spirits also plan to open a new distillery, Dál Riata, in the heart of Campbeltown. In the future, the distillery will produce single malts in line with the traditions of the Scottish west coast. 48% - 70 cl.
