SBS Jamaica C<>H 2021 Rum
SBS Jamaica 2021 C<>H is a single cask rum based on molasses and distilled in a pot still in 2021. The rum is not chill-filtered. The rum has matured in a Virgin Oak cask and was bottled at 59.7% alcohol strength in January 2024.
C<>H is a marque indicating a rum produced with an ester content of between 1300-1400, very close to the maximum allowed according to Jamaican regulations.
SBS Jamaica 2021 C<>H offers a unique and lively aromatic experience, where the nose is met by funky, ester notes presenting overripe pineapple and banana aromas. With the first taste, you treat your taste buds to the rich flavours of overripe fruits, accompanied by sweet vanilla. This delight leads to a woody and toasted finish, adding depth and complexity to every sip.

SBS stands for Single Barrel Selection, and this series of rums is produced by the Danish rum importer, 1423 ApS, who are also behind brands such as Ron Esclavo. The SBS Rum releases are generally unsweetened (without added sugar), non-chill filtered, and at a higher alcohol strength (some of the SBS rum bottlings are even bottled at cask strength).
