SBS Jamaica 2010 EMB rum (bottled for Germany & Austria)
The SBS Jamaica 2010 EMB rum is "bottled for Germany & Austria," but we were allowed to purchase some bottles for the shop during an SBS rum tasting.
SBS stands for Single Barrel Selection, and this series of rums is produced by the Danish rum importer, 1423 ApS. SBS Rum releases are unsweetened (without added sugar), non-chill filtered, and at a higher alcohol strength.
This particular Jamaica 2010 EMB rum is molasses-based and distilled in a pot still in 2010. The rum matured in an ex-bourbon cask and was bottled at 57% abv. in September 2025. The aroma reveals overripe banana and mango with notes of coconut, green olives, and herbs. The taste is intense and fruity with tobacco, black pepper, caramel, toffee, and spicy oak.
The SBS Jamaica 2010 EMB rum is limited to only 224 bottles. 57% - 70 cl.
