Savanna Rhum Vieux Traditional Old 5 Year Old Rum

The Savanna distillery is located on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, and here they produce a wide range of rums: light rum types suitable for cocktails, Rhum Traditionnel for pure enjoyment, Grand Arome with extra aroma/ester content/flavor, and they also make certain Rhum Agricole products, which are made from sugarcane juice instead of molasses (which the others are). Savanna does not add sugar to their products, and it is therefore unsweetened natural rum. Aging typically takes place in French oak barrels from Limousin or Allier. This Savanna 5-year-old rum is a so-called Rhum Traditionnel Vieux, which means molasses-based rum and aged for a minimum of 5 years in French oak barrels. Savanna 5-year-old Rhum Traditionnel Vieux is a rum that has notes of wood, mango, pineapple, vanilla, and almonds. Best enjoyed neat or with ice. 43% - 70 cl.
