This unique Rum Nation Rare Rums Marie Galante rum was distilled in 2017 at Pere Labat on the island of Marie Galante, part of Guadeloupe. The rum was tropically aged for 5 years in ex-cognac casks, after which it underwent a final aging for 2 years in Oloroso sherry casks in Europe (Cask 291 and Cask 292).
When you smell and taste Rum Nation Rare Rums Marie Galante, you'll experience a lively and magnificent rum with vinous notes and hints of citrus, dried fruit, and spices. No sweetness has been added, so you get the natural, powerful rum, and it's even bottled at a higher alcohol strength.

Rum Nation was founded by Italian Fabio Rossi, who released his first rum in 1999, and Rum Nation is a so-called "independent bottler," as is also the case with, for example, Planteray (formerly Plantation).
