Ron Barceló Imperial rum is aged in American oak barrels for 8 years. The rum is amber with a copper-red hue. The nose reveals ripe tropical fruits with hints of raisins and figs. Faint vanilla nuances. Long and smooth finish. In 2000, this Ron Barcelo Imperial rum was awarded by the Beverage Tasting Institute of Chicago as the World's Best Rum with 97 points, described as "a superlative world-class spirit," and won a gold medal in the "Old Aged" category at the Miami Rum Festival 2013.
