Plantation Sealander Rum

For more than 25 years, Plantation has sailed among the great rum-producing islands to produce the finest rums. Sealander celebrates this history by combining three of the great rum-producing islands. Plantation Sealander is the result of a journey that unites the traditions of three passionate islands; this visionary transoceanic journey spans the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. It is a blend of rums from Barbados, specifically the West Indies Rum Distillery, Saint Aubin from Mauritius, and RUM Co. of Fiji Distillery.

As the rums come from three such different locations, they are also produced in three very different ways. The component from Mauritius is made from fresh sugarcane juice, while the other two are made from molasses. They have fermented for 3 days to 3 weeks and then distilled on either a pot still or a column still. They have aged for several years in bourbon casks in a tropical climate before coming to France and aging for an additional year in Ferrand cognac casks. The final blend is dosed with 20 grams of sugar/liter before bottling.

The aroma opens with a gentle and full-bodied scent, containing notes of pear, quince jelly, and gooseberries, as well as hints of smoked molasses. When you taste the rum, you experience a rich and delicate flavor with hints of clover honey, licorice, beeswax, vanilla fudge, and prune. The finish is long and lingering with nuances of baked apples, tonka bean, and dried banana, completing this enchanting rum experience. 40% -70 cl.
