Old St. Croix XO Reserve Tribute

Old St. Croix XO Reserve Tribute is a tribute to Albert Heinrich Riise, who was the first pharmacist in Saint Thomas in 1838. In addition to being a pharmacist, A. H. Riise also produced rum, which was sold at the pharmacy, among other places, as it also had medicinal purposes in days gone by.

This Old St. Croix XO Reserve Tribute blend is inspired by the same curiosity and constant search for quality that characterized A. H. Riise's life, from the establishment of a pharmacy, the clarification of the islands' flora and fauna, and not least the creation of blends that today bear his name under the historical trademark: Old St. Croix.

The Tribute edition is made from molasses-based spirits, carefully selected from recognized distilleries in the West Indies and Central America. The slow fermentation, traditional distillation, and aging of the younger components in oak barrels give Tribute a rich and elegant character.

When you smell Old St. Croix XO Reserve Tribute, you will notice notes of chocolate, bergamot, and a slight hint of tobacco. The taste is soft and fruity with notes of peppermint and bergamot, and in the aftertaste, milk chocolate and a hint of tobacco also emerge.
