Old St. Croix XO Reserve Legacy
This Old St. Croix Legacy is the first launch following the news that A.H. Riise will henceforth be renamed Old St. Croix.
Old St. Croix is a revival of the brand that pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise himself named his bottles 150 years ago when he sold them on St. Thomas in the West Indies as a tribute to the neighboring sugar cane-producing island, St. Croix.
As mentioned, Old St. Croix Legacy is the first edition of the reborn brand, and the bottle is made as a Limited Edition for the more than 30 countries that currently sell A.H. Riise and, going forward, Old St. Croix.
Old St. Croix's Master Blender has carefully selected barrels from renowned distilleries in the West Indies and Central America to compose Old St. Croix Legacy. When you smell it, you perceive notes of toffee and sun-ripened fruits, while the taste offers oak umami, rich tobacco, leather, caramelized figs, and citrus. The aftertaste is long with an experience of dried fruits.

Old St. Croix (formerly known as A.H. Riise) produces a wide range of extra sweet sugarcane spirits as well as liqueurs, bitters, and licorice shots. As of June 13, 2025, the name has been changed from A.H. Riise to Old St. Croix. Previously, the products could be classified as rum, but as of May 25, 2021, new EU legislation came into force, stating that rum must not contain more than 20 grams of product for sweetening per liter.
