Old St. Croix (formerly "A.H. Riise") Family Reserve 1838 is an older variant of the popular XO Reserve Superior Cask version. Old St. Croix Family Reserve 1838 sugarcane spirit is hand-blended from distillates from the West Indies in the Caribbean, up to 20 years old.

It has a beautiful golden color and notes of blackcurrant, orange, fruits, freshness, and coconut on the nose. Taste: sweet, creamy, banana, liqueur, orange, spices, vanilla, mango, papaya. Old St. Croix Family Reserve 1838 has a long finish for those with a sweet tooth.

Riise to Old St. Croix. Previously, the products could be classified as rum, but as of May 25, 2021, new EU legislation came into effect, stating that rum must not contain more than 20 grams of sweetening product per liter.
