Tedeschi 2021 Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella
Tedeschi's Amarone della Valpolicella opens with a sweet aroma of berries and notes of leather, cedar, minerals, and a hint of almond. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, with plenty of intense ripe fruit, leading to a long finish with the characteristic slightly bitter aroma (in Italian, amaro), from which this noble wine takes its name.
About the name "Marne 180": Marne means limestone, which is the type of soil Tedeschi has planted their vineyards on; 180 is the degree of exposure of their vineyards, from southwest to southeast.
Can be enjoyed immediately, preferably in large, spacious glasses, and up to 10-15 years after the vintage. A wine that can be savored for grand occasions as an accompaniment to a feast and, for example, robust poultry. Region/type: Veneto, Italy. Vintage: 2021. 75 cl. - 16.5%.
