Kyrö Game of Thrones Whisky of Fire
Most people are probably familiar with the popular Game of Thrones (GoT) series, featuring dragons, "white walkers," and the families Stark, Lannister, Targaryen, and others. Now, the series is also available in a bottle, a collaboration with the Finnish producer, Kyrö, known especially for its gin and whisky. Two GoT Limited Edition versions have been created: "Whisky of Fire," which is peated, and "Whisky of Blood," which is unpeated.
This Kyrö Game of Thrones Whisky of Fire is made from 100% malted rye, smoked over alder wood and freshwater peat. It was aged in classic bourbon casks, after which it received a finish in used rum casks. The aroma has delicate notes of smoke, toasted rye, and spiced apple compote. The taste is full-bodied and complex with notes of smoke, a mineral character, sweet grain notes, juicy blackberries, and a subtle freshness of menthol.
