Kyrö Game of Thrones Whisky of Blood
Most people are probably familiar with the popular Game of Thrones (GoT) series with its dragons, "white walkers", and families Stark, Lannister, Targaryen, etc. Now the series is also available in a bottle, a collaboration with the Finnish producer, Kyrö, known especially for its gin and whisky. Two GoT Limited Edition versions have been created: "Whisky of Fire", which is smoky, and "Whisky of Blood", which is non-smoky.
This Kyrö Game of Thrones Whisky of Blood is made from 100% malted rye that is NOT smoked. It was aged in classic bourbon barrels, then finished in French oak barrels. The aroma has light grain notes, a hint of apple and apricot, tonka bean, chestnut, and beeswax. The taste is fruity and sweet with an underlying rye spice character, chestnut, crème brûlée, and notes of toasted grain.
