Kilkerran 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Kilkerran 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is from Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd. in the Campbeltown region, where Glengyle Distillery was rebuilt and restarted in 2004. In fact, they are neighbours with Springbank Distillery, and some of the staff are shared with Springbank. This also means that Glengyle Distillery only produces its Kilkerran whisky 3 months a year.

The Kilkerran 12 Years Old whisky is aged for a minimum of 12 years in two types of casks: 70% Bourbon and 30% Sherry. It is bottled at 46% abv. with a light smoky note.

The aroma offers notes of, among other things, Turkish delight, pear, marzipan, marshmallows, and peat smoke. The taste features citrus, lemon cheesecake, peat smoke, pepper, leather-bound books, and toffee, while the aftertaste adds bonfire smoke, pecan pie, and fudge.

Non-chill filtered - No Added Colouring.
