El Dorado 2010 Port Mourant Uitvlugt Diamond Blended in the Barrel Rum is a "limited edition" rum from Demerara Distillers Ltd (DDL) in Guyana. El Dorado has long been recognised as one of the Caribbean's leading rum brands, as the distillery - Diamond Distillery - owns some of the oldest and most remarkable stills in the rum world, which are used in various ways to produce El Dorado rum.
The Blended in the Barrel rum series from El Dorado includes various editions where DDL - as the name suggests - has found casks from different stills with different marques and blended them in bourbon casks, after which they have been finished.
El Dorado 2010 Port Mourant Uitvlugt Diamond Blended in the Barrel rum is a blend of rum distillates from the legendary Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still (marque "PM"), from the Uitvlugt Continuous Savalle Still (marque "ICBU") and from the Diamond Continuous Coffey Still (marque "SVW"). The total of 9 years of maturation took place in ex-bourbon oak casks.
