Dos Maderas Atlantic Double Aged Rum
The Dos Maderas rum brand is produced and initially aged in Barbados and Guyana, after which the rum is sent to Spain for further aging in sherry casks at Williams & Humbert, who are experts in sherry and spirit aging. "Dos Maderas" means "2 types of wood" in Spanish, referring to the aging method, which typically starts in ex-bourbon casks in the Caribbean and ends with sherry aging in Spain. The final aging in sherry casks adds sweetness and balance to the robust and characterful rum from Barbados and Guyana.
The new Dos Maderas Atlantic 2024 release is a blend of 5-year-old rum from Barbados and 5-year-old rum from Guyana. After blending these, the rum is aged for an additional year in used Pedro Ximenez sherry casks in Jerez in southern Spain.
Dos Maderas Atlantic has a well-balanced aroma and taste with notes of oak, spices, caramel, vanilla, honey, toasted nuts, and raisins, among others. 37.5% - 70 cl.

Dos Maderas from the Caribbean is a series of rums and cane spirits that have undergone double cask aging in oak barrels and Pedro Ximinez sherry casks. Distillation and the first part of the aging process take place in the Caribbean, while the subsequent aging and bottling occur at William & Humbert in Spain. Dos Maderas PX 5+5 year Caribbean Double Aged is the most popular and an absolutely wonderful cane spirit with sweet raisin notes.
