Dos Maderas 5+5 Year Rum Gift Set w/2 Glasses

The Dos Maderas house was founded in 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams, a great admirer and connoisseur of sherry, and Arthur Humbert, a specialist in international relations. At Williams & Humbert, the Master blender selects rums from Barbados and Guyana, and once the desired blend is found, the rum is aged for 5 years in the Caribbean. After this part of the aging process, the blend is sailed across the Atlantic to Williams & Humbert in Spain, where the second part of the aging begins. The rum is now aged for 3 years in oak barrels that have previously been used to mature the internationally award-winning sherry "Dos Cartados" Oloroso, and to complete this Dos Maderas 5+5 rum, it is finally aged for 2 years in the heavier and richer "Don Guido" Pedro Ximenez sherry. The taste is soft and delicate with notes of raisin, fig, and vanilla. Dos Maderas Caribbean Double Aged PX 5+5 years won a gold medal at the International Rum Expert Panel 2010.
