Dark n' Stormy Cocktail Kit

Dark 'n Stormy is a delicious and easy cocktail, offering a refreshing combination of dark rum, ginger beer, and lime. Dark n’ Stormy is a registered trademark of Goslings, so if you want to make a true Dark n’ Stormy, you must use Goslings Black Seal Rum, but other dark rums also work perfectly.

According to Gosling, the cocktail has its roots in a ginger beer factory in Bermuda. Here they discovered that a dash of the local Goslings Black Seal Rum was exactly what their ginger beer needed. The name is said to come from an old fisherman who observed that the drink had "the color of a cloud that only a fool or dead man would sail under."

Suggested recipe:

• 4 cl Dark rum
• 1 cl Freshly squeezed lime juice
• 10 cl Ginger beer
• Garnish: Lime wedge
• Optional: A few dashes Angostura Bitter

You purchase the following in the cocktail package:

• 1 bottle Gosling's Black Seal
• 6 cans Gosling's Ginger Beer
• Please note that Angostura Bitter is not included, but may need to be purchased separately

Steps:

• Squeeze the lime juice into the glass
• Fill the glass with ice cubes
• Add rum
• Add ginger beer
• Place the lime wedge on top
• Optional: A few dashes Angostura Bitter

The quantities presented in this recipe are merely our preference, but you can, of course, make the cocktail as you wish.

With the specified quantities, for a full bottle of rum, you will need 1.75 liters of ginger beer.
