Chairman's Reserve 1931 Rum
Chairman's Reserve 1931 rum from St. Lucia Distillers is a tribute to the rum philosophy and craftsmanship established by Denis Barnard. This flagship product is a blend of column-distilled rum (Coffey still) and three copper pot stills, which is then aged in bourbon barrels for 7 to 12 years. 90% of the blend is traditional molasses rum, while 10% is sugarcane juice (agricole rum) from sugarcane grown by St. Lucia Distillers themselves. Nose: raisins, toasted oak, leather, spices, and tobacco. Taste: raisins with a hint of caramel and soft oak on the palate. A fine complex finish, first the sweet raisins, then dry and tannic from the oak, and a fine aromatic sweetness that balances the total taste experience. 46% 70cl
