Calvados Pierre Huet Fine
Calvados from Pierre Huet is based on 300 different types of cider apples. The apples are pressed, and through fermentation, a 6% alcohol content is achieved. Then, the first distillation takes place to obtain "les petites eaux" (little waters), which have 30% alcohol. The second distillation, "bonne Chauffe" (good heat), brings the alcohol content up to 70% after removing the first and last parts of the distillation, which are not suitable for calvados. The now finished and clear Calvados is poured into large barrels that have contained cider, and it is from these large barrels that the Calvados gets its apple flavor and color. Finally, the finished Calvados Pierre Huet Fine is placed in small barrels for 2-3 years to enhance the flavor. 40% – 70cl.
