Calvados Pierre Huet Cordon Or 30 years
Calvados Cordon Or 30 years has undergone a long creation process. First, the apples are pressed, and through fermentation, 6% alcohol is achieved. After this, the first distillation is performed to obtain "les petites eaux" (little waters), which has 30% alcohol. The second distillation, "bonne Chauffe" (good heat), brings the alcohol up to 70% after the first and last parts of the distillation, which are not suitable for calvados, have been removed. The now finished and clear Calvados is poured into large barrels that have contained apple cider, and it is from these large barrels that the Calvados gets its taste and color of apple. Finally, the finished Calvados Pierre Huet Cordon Or has matured in small barrels for 30 years. 40% – 70cl.
