Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dha Single Malt Whisky thus distinguishes itself from the non-peated character that usually typifies the Bunnahabhain whisky series, and since Toiteach means "smoky" in Scottish Gaelic, this whisky indeed features smoky and peaty notes. "A Dha" means No. 2, as this is the 2nd Toiteach edition. The whisky has matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, which have given the whisky both sweet fruit and spice. Peat dominates the aroma, while the taste has notes of sweet sherry and pepper. Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dha Single Malt Whisky has a long and very pleasant finish. 46.3% - 70 cl.

Bunnahabhain
Bunnahabhain Distillery was founded in 1881 by William and James Greenlees on the Isle of Islay. Unlike typical Islay whisky, Bunnahabhain is not peated but rather has notes of sweetness, flowers, etc. (this applies at least to their best-selling variant, Bunnahabhain 12-year-old single malt whisky), and the more subdued smoke notes are simply due to Bunnahabhain primarily using lightly peated, malted barley.
