South African Red Wines

South Africa produces red wine, white wine and rosé wine, but it is the South African red wine that is most popular and what the country is known for.

The entire South African wine district is more or less located around Cape Town. Some of the best wines come from the Stellenbosch area, which is closest to Cape Town. This area produces a full 20% of the country's wine production. These are located almost on the same latitude as the best districts in Chile, Argentina and Australia.
