Come hell or high water
Come Hell or High Water is a series of rum and sugarcane spirits featuring special blends of rum from Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. The name refers to the saying "come hell or high water," meaning that one will do everything in their power to achieve their goal, no matter what hardships they may encounter along the way. And the two Finnish guys behind the brand, Olli Hietalahti and Jouko Laune, have indeed experienced quite a lot on their rum journey – fire, earthquake, and the threat of bankruptcy are just some of it. For many years, they were behind the Ron de Jeremy rum brand, but due to a lawsuit against the frontman Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, they chose to change the product name. But as another saying goes: "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger," and the two gentlemen still know how to make rum and sugarcane spirits.
