Lowland

The Lowland whisky region is located in the southern part of Scotland, and currently there are 4 active distilleries with bottled products on the market. These are Auchentoshan, Bladnoch, Glenkinchie, and Ailsa Bay. There are also a couple of other Lowland distilleries expected to release bottles in the coming years. Lowland whisky is generally a relatively accessible form of whisky, and this is especially true for Auchentoshan, which is distilled 3 times instead of the usual 2 times for Scotch single malt whisky.
