Balvenie

The Balvenie whisky distillery, located in Dufftown in the Speyside region, is a neighbour to Glenfiddich and dates back to the 1890s. The distillery still carries out its own malting, where the germinating barley is turned by hand. Balvenie single malt whisky is primarily matured in American bourbon casks, while certain variants are finished in European oak sherry casks. The whisky is often characterised as full-bodied with notes of honey.
