Isle of Fionia Little Isle Single Malt Danish Whisky from Nyborg Destilleri is soft, sweet, round, fruity, and without a smoky taste. It can be enjoyed both as an introduction to whisky and by seasoned whisky enthusiasts who prefer a softer style.

The Little Isle whisky is made from local Funen malt, which has matured for 3-4 years in three different cask types: bourbon casks, port wine casks, and heavily toasted STR casks. The first 2 years of maturation take place in bourbon casks, the port wine casks are 300-liter Ruby Port, and the use of STR casks (Shaved, Toasted, and Re-charred) means that 5 millimeters of the staves are first scraped off the inside (Shaved), after which the inside of the cask is again toasted (Toasted) and re-charred (Recharred).

When smelling and tasting the whisky, one perceives vinous, fresh, and fruity notes of, among other things, red grapes, cherries, oak spices, vanilla, pear, heavily roasted nuts, and burnt cask notes.

Isle of Fionia Little Isle Single Malt Danish Whisky is unfiltered, organic, and has no added color. 43% - 70 cl.
