The Macallan Harmony Collection JING Single Malt Scotch Whisky also bears the title "Inspired By Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea," which is a complex tea with dessert wine aroma and exotic fruit notes.
The whisky is aged in sherry casks made of both American and European oak. The former contributes fruity and floral notes, while the latter adds roasted notes and acidity. A slight use of ex-bourbon casks ensures a finishing sweetness that brings to mind the dessert wine aroma that inspired this single malt.
When nosing The Macallan Harmony Collection JING Single Malt Scotch Whisky, notes of pear, apricot, honey, tropical fruits, toffee, and sweet oak spices are perceived. The taste offers notes of pear, syrup, citrus, toffee, flowers, and a hint of acidity.
