Rum Nation Mauritius 8 Year Old Cask Strength is a powerful rum aged for 5 years in ex-bourbon casks, followed by 40 months in first-fill bourbon casks. The Cask Strength rum release is limited to only 1,983 bottles for the global market.

On the nose, Rum Nation Mauritius 8 Year Old Cask Strength presents notes of toffee, maple syrup, caramel, tropical fruit, and vanilla. The palate and finish are full-bodied with notes of lime, mint, oak spices, banana, and mango.

This is a natural rum with no added sweetness. 54.9% - 70 cl.

Rum Nation was founded by Italian Fabio Rossi, who released his first rum in 1999, and Rum Nation is a so-called "independent bottler," as is also the case with, for example, Planteray (formerly Plantation). Rossi sought out finished rum distillates with different geographical characteristics from the Caribbean, Central and South America, which he blended and bottled in Italy.
