Denne helt særlige Planteray Oceana Mauritius Vintage 2014 er en Limited Edition udgave og én af kun i alt tre flasker i Vintage Collection No. 4 udgivelsen (de øvrige to er Fiji Islands og Australia). Planteray Vintage Collection serien hylder rom fra fjerne øer og områder, og den byder på dobbeltlagret rom, der har fået en tropisk lagring på bourbonfade efterfulgt af kontinental lagring på Ferrand cognacfade.

Planteray Oceana Mauritius Vintage 2014 er en 12 års rom, der er lavet på melasse og pot still destilleret i Mauritius, hvor den har fået 8 års tropisk lagring på bourbonfade, inden de i alt 24 fade har fået yderligere 4 års kontinental lagring i Frankrig på Ferrand cognacfade. Slutresultatet er en elegant, eksotisk og krydret rom med duft af karamel, vanilje, citronskal, passionsfrugt, banan og kokos med muskatnød og sød tobak. Smagen byder på tørret frugt og guava med fine florale nuancer og et strejf af rosenblade. Eftersmagen er lang og elegant med sort te, knust peber og kandiseret appelsinskal.

Bemærk: Naturlig rom uden tilsat sødme (der er 5 gram sukker/liter, hvilket kan være naturlig restsukker).

Planteray (formerly called Plantation) Rum from Maison Ferrand is a series of bottles from various rum-producing countries, where the rum is produced and tropically aged locally, while further aging, blending, and bottling take place at Maison Ferrand in Cognac, France.
