Denne helt særlige Planteray Oceana Fiji Islands Vintage 2012 er en Limited Edition udgave og én af kun i alt tre flasker i Vintage Collection No. 4 udgivelsen (de øvrige to er Australia og Mauritius). Planteray Vintage Collection serien hylder rom fra fjerne øer og områder, og den byder på dobbeltlagret rom, der har fået en tropisk lagring på bourbonfade efterfulgt af kontinental lagring på Ferrand cognacfade.

Planteray Oceana Fiji Islands Vintage 2012 er en 14 års rom, der er lavet på melasse og pot still destilleret hos Paradise Beverage Distillery i Fiji, hvor den har fået 11 års tropisk lagring på bourbonfade, inden de i alt 31 fade har fået yderligere 3 års kontinental lagring i Frankrig på Ferrand cognacfade. Slutresultatet er en intens, kompleks og frugtig rom med duft af guava, kvæde, appelsin og ristet ananas med læder, let tobak og nellike. Smagen er fyldig og olieret med ananas, mango, kirsebær, karamel, mørk chokolade og ingefær. Eftersmagen er lang med vanilje, passionsfrugt, lakrids og vulkansk mineralitet.

Planteray (formerly called Plantation) Rum from Maison Ferrand is a series of bottles from various rum-producing countries, where the rum is produced and tropically aged locally, while further aging, blending, and bottling take place at Maison Ferrand in Cognac, France.
