Rommen er kolonne-destilleret hos Ingenio la Cabaña i El Salvador i 2017 efter en gæring på 2-3 dage. Efter 7 års tropisk lagring i bourbonfade i Mellemamerika, har den i Frankrig fået yderligere 6 måneder i Cognac Ferrand fade og til sidst 18 måneder i Moscatel-fade. Alt i alt en 9 års rom på 3 forskellige fadtyper. Der er ikke tilsat sukker, så her får man den helt naturlige og ikke-søde rom.

Når man dufter til Planteray El Salvador 2017 Rombo Single Cask rommen, fornemmes karamelliseret appelsin, kakao, marcipan, rosiner, abrikos, banan, valnødder, ristede mandler, pistacie og ingefær. Smagen byder på noter af kandiseret appelsin, ingefær, blommer, stjernefrugt (carambola), vaniljecreme og lavendel. I eftersmagen følger litchi, passionsfrugt, mandarin, cedertræ, guava, mandler og bagekrydderier.
